At LUMEO, every piece is crafted with precision, care, and intention. We take great pride in the quality of our craftsmanship, and for your peace of mind, we offer a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty that reflects our commitment to lasting excellence.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that may arise over time. While such issues are rare, we stand behind the integrity of our process and our product.

 

 

What Is Covered

 

LUMEO offers a lifetime warranty from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects on all gold and platinum jewelry.

Most manufacturing issues reveal themselves within the first few months of wear.

Any item confirmed to have a manufacturing fault will be repaired or replaced at no cost.

Examples of manufacturing defects covered under this warranty include:

  • Porosity, surface pores, or blemishes in the metal

  • Uneven settings present at time of delivery or during LUMEO inspection

  • Chips, scratches, or nicks in gemstones visible at delivery or during inspection

  • Rhodium plating stains or splashes on metal found during inspection

  • Joint failure due to improper casting or welding

  • Loose stones identified at time of inspection

 

 

How to Make a Warranty Claim

 

If you believe your piece has a manufacturing issue:

  1. Contact our team at support@lumeojewelry.com to initiate your claim and receive return instructions.

  2. Package the item securely in its original box with proof of purchase and any diamond certification.

  3. A prepaid insured return label will be issued:

    • $40 USD for U.S. customers

    • $80 USD for international customers

      (This amount covers insured return shipping to LUMEO.)

Once received, our jewelers will conduct a complimentary assessment.

 

  • If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, your return shipping fee will be refunded, your piece will be repaired at no cost, and shipped back securely.

  • If no defect is found, the piece will be returned using your prepaid shipping label.

 


All repairs are carried out by LUMEO’s U.S. studio. International customers follow the same terms, with adjusted shipping fees as listed above.

 

 

Annual Inspection Requirement

 

To maintain your Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty, your jewelry must be inspected and cleaned annually at a LUMEO showroom or authorized service partner.

This inspection ensures the settings, structure, and metalwork remain in sound condition and includes a complimentary professional cleaning.

Failure to complete annual inspections may void the warranty.

 

 

What Is Not Covered

 

Our warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorized repairs, or normal wear and tear.

Common issues not considered manufacturing defects include:

  • Dents, abrasions, or surface scratches from everyday wear

  • Chips, cracks, or breakages in gemstones due to accidental impact

  • Discoloration from exposure to cosmetics, chemicals, or chlorinated water

  • Fading or wear of rhodium or metal plating from regular use

  • Prongs bent, worn, or snagged through daily wear

  • Stones lost due to impact, wear, or prong damage

  • Any alteration, resizing, or repair performed by a non-LUMEO jeweler

  • Missing proof of purchase

 

 

Jewelry Care

 

Your jewelry is made to be worn and loved, but proper care preserves its beauty for a lifetime.

We recommend:

  • Removing your jewelry during hands-on activities (sports, cleaning, gardening)

  • Avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive surfaces

  • Storing pieces separately in a fabric-lined box or pouch

  • Booking your annual cleaning and inspection to maintain warranty eligibility
